Erin is the owner and a master colorist at The Up and Up Salon. She worked in the industry for 10 years before opening her salon. Seven of those years were spent also working for L’Oreal Professionnel as an educator where she would travel around the country teaching color, balayage and business, this has given her a unique perspective to doing hair.  Erin was lucky to learn curly hair in her first salon and continued that journey with several curly haircutting certifications. Her passion for education continued as she completed advanced color, styling and cutting certifications in NYC and LA. She is completed L’Oreal’s styling certification, Color Expert Network, L’Oreal’s Color Certification, L’Oreal’s Balayage Certification, Bellami’s Extension Certification in all 5 applications and most recently Color Specialist, which is the highest level of color training that you can achieve worldwide( there are under 2700 people worldwide with this degree). When you sit in her chair, she will find a color and style that will work with your lifestyle and future hair goals. Erin is known for looking at the whole picture, doing more with less and coming up with fresh ideas to change up your look! She is always changing her look up as well so you can’t always expect to know what color/style her hair will be! She has two dogs, Chloe and Lexi and loves spending time out in Colorado hiking with the dogs and her husband.

Erin has designed our associate training program and is our lead trainer. She works with two associates to insure you get the very best experience possible. Our Associate program is a specialized training program that all stylist at the Up and Up Salon go through no matter how much experience they have. All associates are fully licensed in the state of Missouri, and could work as a stylist in any other salon. When a stylist chooses to join our program they are committing to spending an extra 6-9 months in training, it’s kind of like getting a Master’s degree in hair! In this program we not only teach them how to elevate their craft (technical skills) but also how to communicate effectively with guest to find out how to best meet their needs. Our associates work alongside the trainers as well as attend monthly classes, taking online classes, taking online certifications and have to test out of each service subject in order to help their trainers with the service. Our stylist come out of our program with the equivalent of 3-4 years experience. we are so proud of this program, it gives us a very high level base line quality and is the reason behind our salon’s success.  Our associates help us give you a better experience and it’s so exciting to watch them grow in their salon journey!
